Tisha b'Av on The Temple Mount

BE THERE ISRAEL performed perhaps the first-ever live streaming "video radio" broadcast from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Tisha b'Av this year.  Using top-secret broadcast technology we can't discuss here on this page, we were able to broadcast much of our tour around the Temple Mount with a large group of Jews who had gone up to Har HaBayet that morning to a world-wide viewing audience on the web page of Radio Free Nachlaot, Jerusalem's coolest Internet "video radio" station.

Tisha b'Av from Downtown Jerusalem by BE THERE ISRAEL

Be There Israel was on hand in Jerusalem during Tisha b'Av. We broadcast the reading of Eicha (the Book of Lamentations) the evening of August 8th, 2011, which took place at "Gan HaSoos" (the "Horse Park") in Downtown Jerusalem, which has become a Tent City for the Social Justice Protesters who have in the last month risen up (and camped out) throughout Israel.

Rabbi Aaron Leibowitz and Rav Raz Hartman led the reading of Eicha, and Be There Israel (who was asked to "be there" by the Jerusalem Challenge Project) broadcast the entire event in live real-time streaming video to Jewish organizations all over the U.S.
